Shah United Grouped Against Tough Opponents in AFF Meet

Shah United are looking forward to compete in the Asean Football Federaton (AFF) Invitational Futsal Club Championship from July 2-8 in Bangkok, Thailand.
Seeded in Group ‘A’, Shah United will be up against two time defending champion Port FC from Thailand, Permata Indah from Indonesia and yet to be confirmed club from Myanmar.
The draw was officially published officially on AFF website earlier this week, and Shah United managed said that his team are eager to test themselves against top futsal clubs in the region.
“This will be a good platform for the team and will be a test for us as we are facing the top clubs in the region” Said Awang Khaier Shukrie Haji Md. Lazim.
“At the same time, it will give us exposure playing in a high level competition.
“With this competition, all of the teams in Brunei Futsal League have a target to play for and will make the extra effort so they can compete internationally,” he added.
Shah united will start their campaign against Myanmar on July 2 before facing Permata Indah on July 3 and Port FC on July 4.
Group ‘B’ comprised East Coast Heat (Australia), Melaka United (Malaysia), Sana Khanh Hoa (Vietnam), and Vientiane Capital (Laos) with the top two teams from each group progressing to the semi finals.
“The draw is a bit tough on us as we are pitted against representatives from Thailand and Indonesia, and we know how good their players are,” said Khaier on the draw.
