His Royal Highness Prince 'Abdul Malik ibni His Majesty Sultan Haji Hassanal Bolkiah Muizzaddin Waddaulah attended the Tadarus, Khatam Al-Quran and Tahlil Ceremony organised by Yayasan Sultan Haji Hassanal Bolkiah. The ceremony was held at the Yayasan Sultan Haji Hassanal Bolkiah Complex in the capital, late this afternoon.

Upon arrival, His Royal Highness, as the Chairman of the Yayasan Committee of Governors was greeted by Yang Berhormat Pehin Orang Kaya Indera Pahlawan Dato Seri Setia Awang Haji Suyoi bin Haji Osman, Minister of Education as  the Chairman of the Yayasan Board of Directors, Yang Berhormat Pehin Orang Kaya Laila Setia Dato Seri Setia Awang Haji Abdul Rahman bin Haji Ibrahim, Minister at the Prime Minister's Office and Second Minister of Finance as the First Deputy Chairman of the Yayasan Board of Directors, Yang Berhormat Pehin Orang Kaya Seri Kerna Dato Seri Setia Doctor Haji Awang Abu Bakar bin Haji Apong, Minister of Home Affairs as the Second Deputy Chairman of the Yayasan Board of Directors and Awang Haji Brahim bin Haji Ismail, Yayasan's Managing Director.

The function began with the reading of 30 juzuk Al-Quran by readers comprising of Mualim and students from the Sultan Haji Hassanal Bolkiah Tahfiz Al-Quran Institute. This was followed by Khatam Al-Quran ceremony led by Awang Mohammad Hashim bin Abdullah, a Mualim from the institute.

The Doa khatam and doa tahlil was led by Yang Berhormat Pehin Orang Kaya Paduka Seri Utama Dato Paduka Seri Setia Haji Awang Salim bin Haji Besar, Syari'e Chief Judge. The ceremony was coincided with the breaking of fast. The mass Maghrib prayer was led by Yang Berhormat Pehin Orang Kaya Paduka Seri Utama Dato Paduka Seri Setia Haji Awang Salim. Also present were members of the Yayasan Board of Directors, the Board of Trustees of Pengiran Muda Mahkota Al-Muhtadee Billah Fund for Orphans, officers and staff, as well as teachers of the Yayasan Sultan Haji Hassanal Bolkiah School.
