Over 300 booths from Thailand have brought their products to display and sell at the Top Thai Brands 2017 trade fair held at the ITECC Mall (old building) in Vientiane Capital from June 7-11.

The Department of International Trade Promotion has been working in close cooperation with three main business associations: the Thai Chamber of Commerce, the Federation of Thai Industries and Thai National Shippers’ Council, to select top businesses and top quality products as well as services from Thailand to present at the trade fair in more 190 booths, said theThai Minister Counsellor (Commercial) Yanee Srimeechai.

The trade fair aims not only to promote trade and investment between Thailand and the Lao PDR both in terms of volume and value, along with the promotion of strong business networking, but also to encourage a consumption demand of good quality products and services with original trademarks, said Ms Srimeechai.

She also said that this is to motivate and offer opportunities to both countries to together step toward globalisation.

This year’s trade fair also carries various special activities throughout the 5-day period. A combination of special activities consists of a presentation of projects initiated by his Majesty the King of Thailand, Thailand Trust Mart Zone, and Top Thai Brands Zone.

In addition, the trade fair also includes a seminar by VIP speakers and Thai Artists who have succeeded in doing business overseas.

Present at the event were Deputy Minister of Commerce and Industry Phanthong Phitthoumma and Thai Ambassador to Laos Noppadol Theppitak.
