Charity Project Fastabiqul Khairat Donation

Providing assistance to the less fortunate especially during the holy and blessed month of Ramadan is one of the objectives by the Ministry of Education's Charity Project Fastabiqul Khairat or Competing In Doing Good. The second charity project was conducted by the Uniform Unit and Society Service of the Curriculum Education Department. Among the target of the project is to help the orphans from the ministry itself. Yesterday, 17 orphans from the families of departments under the Ministry of Education received contributions in a ceremony held at the Main Hall of the Curriculum Development Department.
The contributions in a form of hamper as well as cash of $200.00 for each recipient were handed over by Yang Berhormat Pehin Orang Kaya Indera Pahlawan Dato Seri Setia Awang Haji Suyoi bin Haji Osman, Minister of Education. The project was aimed to create an individual who had close ties with society as well as active in community activities in helping the group of underprivileged, especially during the forthcoming of Aidil Fitri celebration.
The contributions were also presented to representative in each district so that they can distribute it to the orphans at several schools in the country. This year, the Department of Curricular Education have collected 454 sacks of rice and 376 boxes containing basic foods to be handed over to recipient. Also present were Pengiran Dato Paduka Haji Bahrom bin Pengiran Haji Bahar, Deputy Minister of Education and Doctor Dayang Hajah Romaizah binti Haji Mohd Salleh, Permanent Secretary of Core Education at the Ministry of Education.
