Two local men were brought before the Bandar Seri Begawan Magistrate's Court today for possession of customs contraband.

Mohammad Hanif Bin Mahadi, aged 29, was fined 4 thousand dollars or 4 months imprisonment in default for the offence of possessing 80 packs of various brands of cigarettes. The accused pleaded guilty and all items were seized to be destroyed.

42 year old, Yeo Shee Yee was fined one thousand dollars or one month imprisonment in default for the offence of possessing 7 packs of various brands of cigarettes and 72 cans of alcoholic drinks. The accused pleaded guilty and all items were seized to be destroyed.
