Among the chaos of a tense General Election night is a man wearing a fish finger costume, plotting the downfall of the Liberal Democrat leader.
One of the most unique candidates standing in Britain this election is the appropriately named Mr Fish Finger.
In April, he threatened to stand against Tim Farron in the Lib Dem leader’s Westmorland and Lonsdale constituency.
And photos taken at the count in Cumbria tonight prove that Mr Fish Finger did end up making it onto the ballot paper.
He was pictured grinning at the camera as he waited for the result to come in to see if he was successful in toppling Mr Farron.
Mr Fish Finger decided to stand after an informal Twitter poll determined that users would rather be led by a fish finger than Mr Farron.
A crowdfunding page then raised enough money to cover his £500 deposit.
