His Royal Highness Prince 'Abdul Malik ibni His Majesty Sultan Haji Hassanal Bolkiah Mu'izzaddin Waddaulah, this morning attended a Tahlil Ceremony organised by Yayasan Sultan Haji Hassanal Bolkiah. The ceremony, held at the Royal Mausoleum, also attended by Cabinet Ministers and members of the Board of Director of Yayasan Sultan Haji Hassanal Bolkiah.

Upon arrival, His Royal Highness, as the Chairman of the Yayasan Committee of Governors was greeted by Yang Berhormat Pehin Orang Kaya Indera Pahlawan Dato Seri Setia Awang Haji Suyoi bin Haji Osman, Minister of Education, as the Chairman of the Yayasan Board of Directors, Yang Berhormat Pehin Datu Lailaraja Retired Major General Dato Paduka Seri Haji Awang Halbi bin Haji Mohammad Yussof, Minister of Culture, Youth and Sports as the First Deputy Chairman of the Yayasan Board of Directors and Yang Berhormat Dato Seri Setia Doctor Awang Haji Zulkarnain bin Haji Hanafi, Minister of Health as the Second Deputy Chairman of the Yayasan Board of Directors.

The reading of Surah Yassin and Tahlil was led by Yang Dimuliakan Pehin Orang Kaya Paduka Setia Raja Dato Paduka Seri Setia Haji Awang Suhaili bin Haji Mohiddin. His Royal Highness then poured 'ayeng asah-asahan' or scented water on the tombs of His Royal Highness' late grandparents, Al-Marhum Sultan Haji Omar 'Ali Saifuddien Sa'adul Khairi Waddien, who passed away on 3rd of Muharram 1407 Hijrah corresponding to 7th September 1986, and Al-Marhumah Duli Raja Isteri Pengiran Anak Damit, who passed away on the 20th Syawal 1399 Hijrah corresponding to 13th September 1979.
