Former residence of College Sultan Omar Ali Saifuddien hostel, This afternoon held a Khatam Al-Quran, Tahlil and Doa Arwah ceremony followed by breaking of fast. The ceremony was held at Al-Ameerah Al-Hajjah Maryam Mosque at Kampung Jerudong.

Prior to the ceremony, Yang Berhormat Awang Haji Abdul Hamid @ Sabli bin Haji Arshad, Member of the Legislative Council an endownment was presented in the form of vacuum to mosque authorities. The Khatam Al-Qu'ran ceremony was commenced with the reading of Al-Fatihah led by Yang Berhormat. The ceremony is the culmination of reading 30 Chapters of Al-Qu'ran by several former residence of College Maktab SOAS hostel since the first of Ramadhan. Meanwhile the reading of Tahlil and Doa Arwah was dedicated to 121 friends who had lived in the same hostel as well as closest family members that was passed away.
