BANDAR SERI BEGAWAN
Muslims are recommended to increase reading Al-Quran and performing other religious acts in anticipation of rewards and blessings on Lailatul Qadar or Night of the Decree. The call was made in today's Friday sermon on the Benefits of Al-Quran and Lailatul Qadar.
In the sermon, the prayer leaders called on the congregants only to read Al-Quran but also to understand the messages and lessons contained in the Holy Book. The prayer leaders added Muslims must make Al-Quran a way of life and not simply read it during Ramadhan. The congregants were also reminded about the special night in Ramadhan called the Night of the Decree and that performing acts of worship on the night would bring more rewards than on other nights. Ibadah or acts of worship on Lailatul Qadar is equal to religious acts and other deeds performed in a thousand months. On the said night, Allah the Almighty will forgive people who are sincere in their worship of Allah the Almighty.
