Two Foreigners Arrested for Dissemination of False Report

The Central Police Station has arrested two women aged 53 and 46 years old for an offence under the Public Order Act after they made a video claiming the nation's rice is made of plastic. Preliminary investigations revealed that the two women are foreigners and investigations are still ongoing.
The video has gone viral through social media throughout nation, where in the one-minute forty-second video, a woman was seen commenting (in Tagalog) of the nation's rice which appeared to be made of plastic. The action was recorded by her friend and then circulated via Whatsapp. The video has cause public alarm in the nation. The Police said they treat all security threats seriously and will not hesitate to take action against anyone who intentionally causes public alarm. Anyone found guilty of Dissemination of false report to cause public alarm can be punished with a fine of up to $3,000 and imprisonment for 3 years.
