His Majesty Sultan Haji Hassanal Bolkiah Mu'izzaddin Waddaulah ibni Al-Marhum Sultan Haji Omar 'Ali Saifuddien Sa'adul Khairi Waddien, Sultan and Yang Di-Pertuan of Brunei Darussalam, today bestowed personal gifts to another more than 7 thousand recipients of selected groups in the Brunei Muara, Tutong and Temburong Districts, in conjunction with Hari Raya Aidilfitri. The presentation of His Majesty's personal gifts was officiated this morning by His Majesty's personal representatives comprising His Majesty's son and daughters. In the Brunei Muara District, the presentation of the personal gifts of His Majesty to more than 4 thousand 6 hundred 12 individuals was held at the Reception Hall and Baitur Rahmah of Istana Nurul Iman. At the Reception Hall of Istana Nurul Iman, presenting personal gifts of His Majesty were His Royal Highness Prince 'Abdul Malik and Yang Amat Mulia Pengiran Anak Isteri Pengiran Raabi'atul 'Adawiyyah binti Pengiran Haji Bolkiah.

Upon arrival, His Royal Highness and Yang Amat Mulia were greeted by Yang Berhormat Pehin Orang Kaya Seri Kerna Dato Seri Setia Doctor Haji Awang Abu Bakar bin Haji Apong, the Minister of Home Affairs and wife; and Yang Berhormat Pehin Orang Kaya Indera Pahlawan Dato Seri Setia Awang Haji Suyoi bin Haji Osman, the Minister of Education and wife.

The ceremony commenced with the recital of Surah Al-Fatihah and Doa Selamat led by Yang Berhormat Pehin Datu Imam Dato Paduka Seri Setia Ustaz Haji Awang Abdul Hamid bin Bakal. The recipients of the personal gifts of His Majesty comprised of individuals who received monthly Welfare Assistance and the Persons with different abilities.

Meanwhile at Baitur Rahmah of Istana Nurul Iman, Her Royal Highness Princess Hajah Rashidah Sa'adatul Bolkiah and Her Royal Highness Princess Hajah Majeedah Nuurul Bolkiah handed over the personal gifts of His Majesty the Sultan and Yang Di-Pertuan of Brunei Darussalam to the recipients.

Their Royal Highnesses were greeted by Yang Berhormat Pehin Udana Khatib Dato Paduka Seri Setia Ustaz Haji Awang Badaruddin bin Pengarah Dato Paduka Haji Othman, the Minister of Religious Affairs; and Yang Berhormat Dato Seri Setia Awang Haji Bahrin bin Abdullah, the Minister of Development and wife.

The recital of Surah Al-Fatihah and Doa Selamat were led by Yang Berhormat Pehin Orang Kaya Paduka Seri Utama Dato Paduka Seri Setia Haji Awang Salim bin Haji Besar. The bestowal of personal gifts from a caring monarch will certainly ease the burden for the less fortunate, especially with the Hari Raya Aidil Fitri celebrations just days away. The personal gifts from His Majesty can certainly help improve the standard of living of the specific groups of people and instil the determination to continue upholding the sovereignty of His Majesty's leadership with undivided loyalty.

The country's citizen and residents expressed gratitude to have a Monarch who always strive to facilitate those who are in need so that they able to enjoy a better quality of life. The happiness of the recipients was evident on their faces as they were grateful and thankful to His Majesty. The sincere personal gifts from His Majesty will certainly became a lifelong memory for the recipients.
