Increasing the number of mosque congregants and to further enliven the Sunat Tarawih prayer were among the objective of the Ministry of Religious Affairs by inviting an Imam or Prayer leader from the Arab Republic of Egypt to lead Sunat Tarawih prayers at several selected mosques in the country.

Last night, the invited Imam, Fadilatus Sheikh Abdul Wahhab Al-Tantawi (pronounce: At-Tantawi), led the prayer at Muhammad Jamalul Alam Mosque in Kuala Belait. Tonight, the invited imam led the prayers at the Suri Seri Begawan Raja Pengiran Anak Damit Mosque in Kampung Manggis/ Madang.
