BANDAR SERI BEGAWAN

53 officers and staff of the Ministry of Health received the Pingat Kerja Lama (PKL) or Long Service Medals in conjunction with the 70th birthday of His Majesty the Sultan and Yang Di-Pertuan of Brunei Darussalam for the year 2016. The award ceremony took place this afternoon at Dewan Al-'Afiah, Ministry of Health.

The medals were presented by Yang Berhormat Dato Seri Setia Doctor Haji Zulkarnain bin Haji Hanafi, Minister of Health. The presentation of medals is recognition and a show of appreciation by His Majesty's government towards civil servants who have been in service for over 20 years, apart from having a clean service record. The medal award is also hoped to become an encouragement for the recipients to improve their quality of service. Also present was Doctor Hajah Maslina binti Haji Mohsin, Acting Permanent Secretary at the Ministry of Health and Doctor Haji Hazri bin Haji Kifle, Deputy Permanent Secretary (Policy) at the Ministry of Health.
