Yayasan Sultan Haji Hassanal Bolkiah today donated 37 thousand 376 dollars to the underprivileged and senior citizens in Tutong district. The donations were handed over this morning during a visit by a Yayasan delegation to 21 houses of recipients in nine villages in Mukim Kiudang.

The delegation was led by Yang Berhormat Pehin Orang Kaya Indera Pahlawan Dato Seri Setia Awang Haji Suyoi bin Haji Osman, the Minister of Education as the Chairman of Board of Directors of Yayasan Sultan Haji Hassanal Bolkiah. Prior to the visit, the delegation handed over an endowment to the Pengiran Muda Abdul Wakeel Mosque in Kampung Kiudang.

The contributions from the Yayasan were in the form of financial, basic necessities and food. Also presented was medical equipment to a senior citizen. Out of 35 families who received the donations, four families received assistance to repair their depilated house. The distribution of the contributions were carried out with the cooperation of Yayasan strategic partners namely Brunei Darussalam Four Wheel Drive Association which provided the transportation. Also in the delegation were Yang Berhormat Awang Haji Umarali bin Esung; and Yang Berhormat Awang Haji Ramli bin Haji Lahit, Members of the Legislative Council; and Awang Haji Brahim bin Haji Ismail, the Managing Director of Yayasan.
