The Office of His Majesty Sultan and Yang Di-Pertuan of Brunei Darussalam this afternoon held the reading of Surah Yasin and Tahlil for the parents of His Majesty Sultan and Yang Di-Pertuan of Brunei Darussalam, Al-Marhum Sultan Haji Omar Ali Saiffuddien Sa'adul Khairi Waddien and Al-Marhumah Duli Raja Isteri Pengiran Anak Damit.

In attendance was Yang Amat Mulia Pengiran Penggawa Laila Bentara Istiadat Diraja Dalam Istana Pengiran Haji Alauddin bin Pengiran Paduka Tuan Pengiran Haji Abu Bakar, the Grand Chamberlain.   The reading of Surah Yasin and Tahlil was led by Awang Haji Abdul Rahman bin Mahmuda. Also present were Dato Paduka Haji Haimdon bin Haji Ibrahim, the Deputy Private and Confidential Secretary of His Majesty the Sultan and Yang Di-Pertuan of Brunei Darussalam and senior officers, officers and staff of His Majesty's Office.
