The country's Muslims celebrated the joyful Hari Raya Aidil Fitri this morning with Takbir and a mass Sunat Aidil Fitri prayer at all mosques and suraus in the four districts. Commonly, after the sunat Aidilfitri prayer, congregants took the opportunity to shake hands dan seek forgiveness from each other.

In Belait district, the mass Sunat Hari Raya Aidilfitri prayer was focused at the Jamalul Alam mosque. Since early morning, mosques were occupied with congregants to perform the prayer. The Sunat Aidilfitri prayer was led by Awang Akup bin Haji Lamat, Mosque Affairs Officer.

In Tutong town, Hassanal Bolkiah mosque was the focal point for Muslims in Tutong district to perform the Sunat Hari Raya Aidil Fitri prayer. The prayer was headed by Awang Sahibol Omar bin Haji Yusof, the Imam of Hassanal Bolkiah mosque.

Meanwhile, Muslims in Temburong district gathered to recite the takbir and perform the sunat Aidil Fitri prayer at the Utama Mohd Salleh mosque in Pekan Bangar. The prayer was led by Imam Haji Yusof bin Haji Ahad, the Imam of Utama Mohd Salleh mosque in Pekan Bangar, Temburong.
