​The month of Syawal is the victory month of Muslims after a long month of fasting. This afternoon, Yang Berhormat Pehin Udana Khatib Dato Paduka Seri Setia Ustaz Haji Awang Badaruddin bin Pengarah Dato Paduka Haji Awang Othman, Minister of Religious Affairs held Open House in conjunction with Hari Raya Aidil Fitri Celebration.

In attendance was His Excellency Doctor Mohamad Maliki bin Osman, Senior Minister of State, Ministry of Defence and Ministry of Foreign Singapore Affairs of the Republic of Singapore and wife; Associate Professor Doctor Muhammad Faishal Ibrahim, Senior Parliamentary Secretary, Ministry of Social and Family Development and Ministry of Education of the Republic of Singapore and wife; Desmond Choo, Member of Parliament Mayor, North East CDC and His Excellency Lim Hong Huai, the High Commissioner of the Republic of Singapore to the country. Also present was Dato Paduka Awang Haji Abdul Mokti bin Haji Mohd Daud, Deputy Minister of Religious Affairs. The function was held at the residence of the Minister of Religious Affairs at Kampung Sungai Besar in Jalan Kota Batu.
