Amid the joyful Aidilfitri celebration, the less fortunate are not forgotten. Orphans, single mothers, special needs people and senior citizens from Mukim Mentiri, this morning received donations from a benevolent sector in the country.

Alms-giving, regardless of the size or amount is a noble deed that is highly advocated by Islam and promises enormous and multiple rewards. Over 200 people received donations from Pengiran Haji Mohammad Jaafar bin Pengiran Damit, the owner of D. Masjaffre Restaurant, and Awang Saibudeen Mohammad Jameel, the Managing Director of the restaurant. According to Pengiran Hj Mohamad Jaafar, the donations were for the recipients to share the joy in celebrating Hari Raya.
