Junjung Ziarah in the Afternoon of First Day the Istana Is Opened

In the afternoon, 19 thousand 507 well-wishers from all walks of life came to Istana Nurul Iman to convey their Hari Raya greetings and junjung ziarah to His Majesty the Sultan and Yang Di-Pertuan of Brunei Darussalam and Her Majesty Duli Raja Isteri as well as other members of the royal family.
Earlier, His Majesty the Sultan and Yang Di-Pertuan of Brunei Darussalam received in audience His Excellency Doctor Mohamad Maliki bin Osman, Senior Minister of State, Ministry of Defence and Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Singapore.
Also in attendance were His Majesty's brothers and sons, His Royal Highness Prince Mohamed Bolkiah; His Royal Highness Prince Haji 'Abdul 'Azim; His Royal Highness Prince 'Abdul Malik; and His Royal Highness Prince 'Abdul Wakeel as well as other members of the Royal Family.
Visitors in the afternoon comprised officers and staff from several ministries, including the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Trade, government officers and Royal Brunei Armed Forces personnel.
Meanwhile at another part of Istana Nurul Iman, Her Majesty Duli Raja Isteri received in audience and junjung ziarah from the female well-wishers. Accompanying Her Majesty were Her Majesty's daughters and sister, Her Royal Highness Pengiran Anak Isteri Pengiran Anak Sarah; Her Royal Highness Pengiran Anak Isteri Pengiran Anak Hajah Zariah; Yang Amat Mulia Pengiran Anak Isteri Pengiran Raabi'atul 'Adawiyyah; Her Royal Highness Princess Hajah Rashidah Sa'adatul Bolkiah; Her Royal Highness Princess Hajah Majeedah Nuurul Bolkiah; Her Royal Highness Princess 'Azemah Ni'matul Bolkiah, Her Royal Highness Princess Ameerah Wardatul Bolkiah; Her Royal Highness Princess Hajah Masna; and Her Royal Highness Princess Hajah Amal Umi Kalthum Al Islam as well as Her Majesty's grandchildren.
The golden opportunity to spend Hari Raya with their beloved Monarch is certainly something truly special and one which carries true significance.
Overall, 38 thousand 437 well-wishers visited Istana Nurul Iman on the first day the palace was opened. Istana Nurul Iman will be open again tomorrow from 10 in the morning until 12 noon and again from 2 to 4 in the afternoon for the people to meet and greet His Majesty and the Royal Family during the Hari Raya Aidil Fitri celebration.
