Audience and Junjung Ziarah in the Morning of Second Day the Istana is Opened

Some 33 thousand 9 hundred 14 well-wishers visited Istana Nurul Iman today on the second day it opened in conjunction with Hari Raya Aidilfitri. Members of the public took advantage of the public holiday to attend the Audience and Junjung Ziarah ceremony with His Majesty Sultan Haji Hassanal Bolkiah Mu'izzaddin Waddaulah ibni Al-Marhum Sultan Haji Omar 'Ali Saifuddien Sa'adul Khairi Waddien, Sultan dan Yang Di-Pertuan of Brunei Darussalam and Her Majesty Duli Raja Isteri Pengiran Anak Hajah Saleha binti Al-Marhum Pengiran Pemancha Pengiran Anak Haji Mohammed Alam. His Majesty and Her Majesty Duli Raja Isteri granted separate audiences to the visitors and received their junjung ziarah in conjunction with Hari Raya Aidilfitri.
His Majesty the Sultan and Yang Di-Pertuan of Brunei Darussalam received in audience the male visitors and received their junjung ziarah. Also present were His Majesty's sons and brothers:
- His Royal Highness Prince Haji Al-Muhtadee Billah, the Crown Prince;
- His Royal HIghness Prince Mohamad Bolkiah;
- His Royal Highness Prince Haji Sufri Bolkiah:
- His Royal Highness Prince Haji 'Abdul 'Azim;
- His Royal Highness Prince 'Abdul Malik and
- His Royal Highness Prince 'Abdul Wakeel. Also present were other members of the Royal Family.
Among the visitors this morning were uniformed personnel of the Royal Brunei Armed Forces, the Royal Brunei Police Force, the Immigration and National Registration Department, the Royal Customs and Excise Department, the Prisons Department, the Fire and Rescue Department, members of the Brunei Darussalam Scouts Association and Brunei Darussalam Girl Guides Association, officers and staff from several government ministries and departments, and the private sector.
Meanwhile, at another part of Istana Nurul Iman, Her Majesty Duli Raja Isteri Pengiran Anak Hajah Saleha received in audience the female well-wishers and received their junjung ziarah.
Also present were Her Majesty's daughters and sisters:
- Her Royal Highness Pengiran Anak Isteri Pengiran Anak Sarah binti Pengiran Haji Salleh Ab Rahaman,
- Yang Teramat Mulia Pengiran Anak Isteri Pengiran Anak Hajah Zariah;
- Yang Amat Mulia Pengiran Bini Hajah Faizah binti Dato Haji Nasir;
- Yang Amat Mulia Pengiran Anak Isteri Pengiran Raabi'atul 'Adawiyyah binti Pengiran Haji Bolkiah;
- Her Royal Highness Princess Hajah Rashidah Sa'adatul Bolkiah;
- Her Royal Highness Princess Hajah Muta-Wakkilah Hayatul Bolkiah;
- Her Royal Highness Princess Hajah Majeedah Nuurul Bolkiah;
- Her Royal Highness Princess Hajah Hafizah Sururul Bolkiah;
- Her Royal Highness Princess 'Azemah Ni'matul Bolkiah,
- Her Royal Highness Princess Fadzilah Lubabul Bolkiah;
- Her Royal Highness Princess 'Ameerah Wardatul Bolkiah,
- Her Royal Highness Princess Hajah Masna; and
- Her Royal Highness Princess Hajah Amal Umi Kalthum Al Islam. Also present were Her Majesty's grandchildren.
This is where the uniqueness of Brunei Darussalam is. Usually during Hari Raya Aidil Fitri celebrations, visitors get a chance to visit the Istana, greet and meet their beloved ruler and the Royal Family to convey their Hari Raya Aidilfitri greetings.
This morning alone, a total of 17 thousand 641 people visited Istana Nurul Iman to meet and greet His Majesty the Sultan and Yang Di-Pertuan of Brunei Darussalam, Her Majesty Duli Raja Isteri and other members of the royal family.
