Preparations for events in conjunction with His Majesty the Sultan and Yang Di-Pertuan of Brunei Darussalam's 71st Birthday Anniversary are actively being held throughout the country. This afternoon, the committee members of the celebration organised a reading of Ratib Al-Attas which took place at the surau of the Ministry of Home Affairs in the capital.

Present was Yang Amat Mulia Pengiran Lela Cheteria Sahibun Najabah Pengiran Anak Haji Abdul Aziz bin Pengiran Jaya Negara Pengiran Haji Abu Bakar, Yang Di-Pertua of Adat Istiadat Negara as the Adviser of the National Committee for His Majesty the Sultan and Yang Di-Pertuan of Brunei Darussalam's 71st Birthday Celebration. Also present was Yang Berhormat Pehin Orang Kaya Seri Kerna Dato Seri Setia Doctor Haji Awang Abu Bakar bin Haji Apong, Minister of Home Affairs in his capacity as the Chairman of the National Committee for the Birthday Celebration.

The ceremony commenced with a mass sunat hajat prayer, followed by a mass fardhu Asar prayer which was led by Yang Dimuliakan Pehin Khatib Dato Paduka Awang Haji Emran bin Haji Kunchang. The ceremony coincided with a mass reading of Ratib Al-Attas. Such ceremony was held to seek blessings, joyous, security, perfection and smooth running of the ceremonies and events of His Majesty's Birthday Anniversary which will be held throughout the country from Allah Subahanahu Wata'ala.
