Numerous developments have been achieved and enjoyed by the country under the reign of His Majesty the Sultan dan Yang Di-Pertuan of Brunei Darussalam until Brunei Darussalam is at par with other countries in various fields, including religion, politics, economy, education and health. Thus, the monarch's leadership and efforts as well as determination has made the country renowned and respected in the eyes of the world. The matter was disclosed in today's Friday Sermon entitled Giving Thanks to the Monarch's Leadership.

The imam or prayer leader said we are grateful for the sovereignty of the country that citizens and residents of the country are continuously under the blessings of Allah SWT. The country is also protected, peaceful and prosperous under the leadership, care and attention of the monarch who always prioritises the country's welfare and harmony. His Majesty is also a monarch who always places emphasis on Islamic teachings and Allah's law in the nation's administration and law. Therefore, as the country's citizens and residents, we must be loyal to the reign and adhere to and accept every directive of the government as long as the orders given do not go against syarak law.
