Get-Together & Junjung Ziarah Ceremony Strengthens Ties between the Monarch and His Subjects

​The get-together ceremony with the people is a unique platform to further strengthen ties between the monarch and his subjects. Hence, the presence of His Majesty the Sultan and Yang Di-Pertuan of Brunei Darussalam at the Get-Together and Junjung Ziarah Ceremony with the citizens and residents of Tutong District was welcomed with gratefulness by the people of the district.

 

The citizens and residents of Tutong District grabbed the opportunity to meet the beloved monarch and expressed their gratefulness for the development and progress achieved in the district. Eight thousand people comprising school students, civil servants, mukim, youth associations, vendors and banks, the Chinese Community, Children with Special needs, neighbourhood watch and Royal Brunei Armed Forces took part in the gathering.

 

Accompanying His Majesty at the junjung ziarah ceremony were, His Royal Highness Prince Haji Al-Muhtadee Billah, the Crown Prince and Senior Minister at the Prime Minister's Office; His Royal Highness Prince Mohamed Bolkiah, His Royal Highness Prince 'Abdul Malik and His Royal Highness Prince 'Abdul Mateen.

 

His Majesty frequently stresses on peace. According to His Majesty, the blessing of peace and tranquility is all. The monarch also emphasised for the citizens and residents to be grateful for Brunei Darussalam being able to enjoy peace and tranquility, whereas in this era, it is not easy for people to enjoy the blessings of peace and tranquility. Hence, the monarch urged his subjects to be resolved and seek the blessings of Allah the Almighty so that what has been bestowed will be everlasting.

 

Under His Majesty's reign, the country continues to rapidly progress and develop. Towards achieving Wawasan Brunei 2035, His Majesty places great emphasis on the need for progressive behaviour and thinking. All parties need to work hand in hand to achieve this noble desire either from the government, private sector and individuals as well as all citizens and residents in the country.

 

His Majesty and members of the royal family ended visit to the Tutong District with a luncheon at the Dewan Utama, Tutong District Civic Centre Complex. At the function, the monarch received a pasambah and cut the Royal birthday cake. Doa selamat was read by Pengiran Haji Sahril Azman bin Pengiran Haji Metusin, Tutong District Syariah Subordinate Court Judge.

 

Before leaving the ceremony, His Majesty received greetings and junjung ziarah from members of the Royal Birthday celebration executive committee in the Tutong District. His Majesty's birthday celebration that has been carried out in an organised manner, portrays the unity and strong solidarity that has long been built and maintained among the citizens and residents with a core of loyalty to the monarch and country.
