Monitoring Session of Khatam Al-Quran, Doa Kesyukuran And Hari Raya Get-Together

The practice of reading Al-Quran symbolises gratitude, especially in conjunction with the Golden Jubilee celebration of His Majesty the Sultan and Yang Di-Pertuan of Brunei Darussalam's Accession to the Throne which will be a religious act filled with blessings. This was underlined last night by Yang Berhormat Dato Seri Setia Awang Haji Ali bin Apong, Minister of Primary Resources and Tourism, who is also the patron of the Rashidah Sa'adatul Bolkiah Mosque's Takmir Committee during the Monitoring Session of the 3rd Al-Quran Reading and Tasmik for the 50 times recitals of the Khatam Al-Quran ceremony in conjunction with the Golden Jubilee celebration of the monarch's Accession to the Throne. Apart from the monitoring session, Doa Kesyukuran in conjunction with the 4th anniversary of Rashidah Sa'adatul Bolkiah Mosque as well as Hari Raya Aidil Fitri Get-Together Ceremony were also held. In his speech, Yang Berhormat urged the residents to continue maintaining relations as well as cooperation to ensure the prosperity of the mosque and progress of the village. Earlier, more than 200 participants took part in individual Al-Quran reading and tasmik comprising adults, youths and children from Kampung Sungai Akar and the surrounding areas, who have participated in the 50 times Khatam Al-Quran ceremony.
