His Majesty's Get-Together and Junjung Ziarah Ceremony

Padang Bandaran in Jalan Sultan, Kuala Belait, became the focus of thousands of citizens and residents in the Belait District this morning as they gather for the Get-Together and Junjung Ziairah Ceremony in conjunction with the 71st birthday celebration of His Majesty Sultan Haji Hassanal Bolkiah Mu'izzaddin Waddaulah ibni Al-Marhum Sultan Haji Omar Ali Saifuddien Sa'adul Khairi Waddien, Sultan and Yang Di Pertuan of Brunei Darussalam. Hundreds of students waved the miniature National Flag along the road leading to Padang Bandaran as they welcomed His Majesty the Sultan and Yang Di-Pertuan of Brunei Darussalam. Upon arrival, His Majesty was greeted by Yang Berhormat Pehin Orang Kaya Seri Kerna Dato Seri Setia Doctor Haji Awang Abu Bakar bin Haji Apong, the Minister of Home Affairs as the Chairman of the National Committee for His Majesty the Sultan and Yang Di-Pertuan of Brunei Darussalam's 71st Birthday Celebration. Also in attendance were; - His Royal Highness Prince Haji Al-Muhtadee Billah, the Crown Prince and Senior Minister at the Prime Minister's Office; - His Royal Highness Prince Mohamed Bolkiah; - His Royal Highness Prince Haji Sufri Bolkiah; - His Royal Highness Prince Haji Jefri Bolkiah; - His Royal Highness Prince 'Abdul Malik, and; - His Royal Highness Prince 'Abdul Mateen. The Padang then echoed with the cheers of 'Daulat Kebawah Duli Tuan Patik' from Penghulu Mukim, Village Chiefs, and Longhouse Chiefs, Heads of Office Branches, Committee members and communities in the Belait District. Awang Haji Haris bin Othman, the Belait District Office as the representative of Belait District's citizens and residents, in his welcoming address among other things expressed undivided loyalty and gratitude towards His Majesty for the Monarch's presence at the Get-Together and Junjung Ziarah ceremony in the said district. 871 participants took part in the special performance carrying the theme 'Raja Bijaksana, Wawasan Negara Perkasa'. The performers comprised of students from primary and secondary schools, colleges and higher institutions, as well as the private sector, youths, ethnic groups and communities in the Belait District. The theme was translated in the form of colourful performances on how fortunate Brunei Darussalam is to have a wise Monarch. His Majesty's wisdom is visible with the vision to make the country as a Malay Islamic Monarchy nation, apart from making Brunei Darussalam a Zikir Nation and known throughout the world with its highly educated citizens and sustainable economy in 2035. The participant's collaboration further enlivened the atmosphere during the final performance with the 'Selamat Hari Keputeraan' song as balloons were released up into the air. The historic moment was eternalised with a group photo session with His Majesty and members of the Royal Family as well as the participants who enlivened the special performance. The harmony portrayed in the Get-Together and Junjung Ziarah ceremony has instilled the spirit of togetherness, strengthen the society's solidarity and uphold the Wawasan Brunei 2035.
