His Majesty's Get-Together and Junjung Ziarah Ceremony In Bandar

The Get-together and Junjung ziarah with citizens and residents in the Brunei Muara District in conjunction with the 71st Birthday of His Majesty Sultan Haji Hassanal Bolkiah Mu'izzaddin Waddaulah ibni Al-Marhum Sultan Haji Omar 'Ali Saifuddien Sa'adul Khairi Waddien, Sultan and Yang Di-Pertuan of Brunei Darussalam, took place this morning. Consensus and solidarity clearly reflected His Majesty's leadership as the driving force of the high-spirited participants during the Special Performances befitting the theme, "Raja Peneraju, Rakyat Bersatu," that signifies the Monarch as a symbol of unity. His Majesty's arrival was very much-awaited by all levels of the people in the Brunei Muara District. Upon arrival, His Majesty was greeted by Yang Berhormat Pehin Orang Kaya Seri Kerna Dato Seri Setia Doktor Haji Awang Abu Bakar bin Haji Apong, Minister of Home Affairs, as the Chairman of the 71st Royal Birthday Celebration National Committee. Also attending the ceremony were His Royal Highness Prince Haji Al-Muhtadee Billah, the Crown Prince and Senior Minister at the Prime Minister's Office; His Royal Highness Prince Mohamed Bolkiah; His Royal Highness Prince Haji Sufri Bolkiah; His Royal Highness Prince Haji Jefri Bolkiah; His Royal Highness Prince 'Abdul Malik; and His Royal Highness Prince 'Abdul Mateen. The capital resonated with Cheers of 'Daulat Kebawah Duli Tuan Patik' by mukim penghulus, village chiefs, members of the 71st Royal Birthday Celebration Executive Administrative Committee, as well as representatives of non-government organisations and the different races of the community. Awang Misle bin Haji Abd Karim, the Brunei Muara District Officer, in his welcoming address, conveyed on behalf of the citizens and residents in the district their undivided loyalty to His Majesty and expressed their gratitude for His Majesty's presence for the get-together with the people in the district in conjunction with His Majesty's 71st birthday. He also conveyed the people's continuous support for His Majesty's leadership in driving towards the nation's further development and progress. Over 500 people were involved in the special performances which carried the them, 'Raja Peneraju, Rakyat Bersatu' that instilled the traditonal values from several generations of different races and cultures which uphold and portray solidarity and loyalty towards their beloved Monarch. A combined group of participants comprising primary and secondary school students, youth and public organisations presented the traditional values through Brunei traditiional dances as well as via the art of self-defence such as silat and wushu. The highlight of the special performances was the theme song, entitled, 'Mahkota Satria' composed specially in expressing loyalty towards His Majesty, the sovereign leader of the nation. At the end of the Special Performances, His Majesty talked with the participants and received their junjung ziarah, as a sign of His Majesty's high appreciation towards continuous commitment, diligence as well as unity and solid collaboration from all parties in carrying out the performances.
