4th Meeting of the Executive Committee for the Golden Jubilee Celebration of His Majesty's Accession to the Throne

His Royal Highness Prince Haji Al-Muhtadee Billah ibni His Majesty Sultan Haji Hassanal Bolkiah Mu'izzaddin Waddaulah, the Crown Prince and Senior Minister at the Prime Minister's Office in a sabda stresses it is important that the Sectoral Committees For the Golden Jubilee Celebration of His Majesty the Sultan and Yang Di-Pertuan of Brunei Darussalam's Accession to the Throne to ensure continuous momentum in the preparations required for the celebration and to further enhance their dedication and commitment. His Royal Highness also recommended that the preparations be completed by the end of August. His Royal Highness made the sabda during the Fourth Meeting of the Executive Committee for the Golden Jubilee Celebration of His Majesty the Sultan and Yang Di-Pertuan of Brunei Darussalam's Accession to the Throne. The meeting took place this morning at the Prime Minister's Office Building at Jalan Perdana Menteri.
Upon arrival, His Royal highness as the Patron of the celebration's Advisory Committee was greeted by His Royal Highness Prince Haji Sufri Bolkiah ibni Al-Marhum Sultan Haji Omar 'Ali Saifuddien Sa'adul Khairi Waddien as Member of the celebration's advisory committee.
Also greeting His Royal Highness the Crown Prince were the Co-Chairmen of the Golden Jubilee Celebration Executive Committee, Yang Amat Mulia Pengiran Lela Cheteria Sahibun Najabah Pengiran Anak Haji Abdul Aziz bin Pengiran Jaya Negara Pengiran Haji Abu Bakar, the Yang Di-Pertua of Adat Istiadat Negara; Yang Berhormat Pehin Orang Kaya Seri Kerna Dato Seri Setia Doctor Haji Awang Abu Bakar bin Haji Apong, the Minister of Home Affairs; Yang Berhormat Pehin Orang Kaya Laila Setia Dato Seri Setia Awang Haji Abdul Rahman bin Haji Ibrahim, Minister at the Prime Minister's Office and the Second Minister of Finance; Yang Berhormat Pehin Datu Seri Maharaja Dato Paduka Seri Setia Doctor Ustaz Haji Awang Abdul Aziz bin Juned, the State Mufti; and Yang Berhormat Pehin Orang Kaya Shahbandar Dato Seri Setia Haji Awang Mohd Nawawi bin Pehin Orang Kaya Shahbandar Haji Awang Mohd Taha, the Private and Confidential Secretary of His Majesty the Sultan and Yang Di-Pertuan of Brunei Darussalam.
The meeting began with the Doa Selamat read by Yang Berhormat Pehin Datu Imam Dato Paduka Seri Setia Ustaz Haji Awang Abdul Hamid bin Bakal, Member of the Golden Jubilee Celebration Executive Committee.
The session continued with opening remarks by Yang Amat Mulia Pengiran Lela Cheteria Sahibun Najabah Pengiran Anak Haji Abdul Aziz bin Pengiran Jaya Negara Pengiran Haji Abu Bakar, the Chief of Adat Istiadat Negara.
During the meeting, His Royal Highness also shares the Titah of His Majesty the Sultan and Yang Di-Pertuan of Brunei Darussalam regarding matters arising from the 3rd Executive Committee Meeting among which are the duration of the Gendang Jaga-jaga Ceremony of the Golden Jubilee Celebration of His Majesty the Sultan and Yang Di-Pertuan of Brunei Darussalam's Accession to the Throne.
In the sabda His Royal Highness also highlights His Majesty's consent for the proposed dates of opening ceremonies and for the renaming of certain infrastructures. According to His Royal Highness, the main events of the Golden Jubilee Celebration must possess their own attractions that would galvanise the public and inspire them to engage and participate in the celebration, especially during the actual main events.
His Royal Highness also calls on the country's citizens and residents to maintain and portray good image during the celebration because the country will welcome the presence of specially invited guests as well as visitors from around the world. A good image is very important to give the visitors many pleasant memories and an experience of a lifetime. Also in today's meeting, the Executive Committee discussed preparations for the Celebration in the four districts.
