A local man was brought before the Bandar Seri Begawan Magistrate's Court today for an offence under the Excise Order 2006 and Custom Order 2006.

Hasman Bin Hassan, was pleaded guilty of two counts of offences. The first count, possessing 27 cartons of cigarettes of various brands and the second count was possessing 6 kilograms of chicken wing during an inspection at the Kuala Lurah Control Post. For the first count, the defendant was fined 7 Thousand 5 Hundred dollars or 7 months imprisonment in default. While for his second count, he was fined 5 Hundred dollars or One month imprisonment. He was given until the 30th of April 2018 to settle the fine. All contraband was seized to be destroyed.
