Religious activities continue to enliven the 71st birthday celebration of His Majesty the Sultan and Yang Di-Pertuan of Brunei Darussalam. The Mukim Kilanas Consultative Council, with the cooperation of the Brunei Muara District Office organised the Memorisation and Understanding of Selected Verses Competition yesterday for the Brunei Muara District level.

6 categories were competed according to age groups. Awang Ahmad Huzaifah bin Haji Awang Hasbi and Dayang Nur Kamaliah binti Haji Jahari emerged as winners of the Boys and Girls category aged between 6 to 14 years old. Meanwhile, the Male and Female category for ages between 15 to 25 went to Mohammad Raffi bin Duming and Dayang Nursa'adat Afifah @ Siti Nanada binti Mohammad, and Haji Mohammad Yussof bin Haji Tengah as well as Dayang Noriah binti Haji Tuah won the 26-Above Adult Category.

Prizes were presented by Awang Misle bin Haji Abdul Karim, the Brunei Muara District Officer. Winners of each category will represent the Brunei Muara Distict at the national level which will take place in the Temburong District.
