The first group of 254 Brunei Darussalam intending pilgrims is now in the Holy City of Madinah Al-Munawwarah. The flight carried intending pilgrims using Haj packages from Darussalam Holdings Sendirian Berhad and Straight Central Agencies Sendirian Berhad. Apart from the intending pilgrims, the flight BI4201 also included a doctor and 2 nurses, and the plane safely arrived at 5 past 7 in the evening local time, 30 minutes early than scheduled.

Upon arrival at the Prince Mohammad bin Abdulaziz International Airport, the intending pilgrims were greeted by His Excellency Dato Seri Setia Awang Haji Yusof bin Haji Ismail, the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Brunei Darussalam to Saudi Arabia, and wife.

The first flight comprised of 110 intending pilgrims using the Darussalam Holdings Sendirian Berhad's haj package, where they will reside in the Dallah Taibah Hotel, while 139 others who uses the Straight Central Agencies Sendirian Berhad will stay in the Shaza Al-Madinal Hotel and the Sofraa Al-Huda Madinah Hotel.

Also welcoming the intending pilgrims were Awang Haji Abdullah bin Haji Mohamad, Head of Haj Management for Administration; Doctor Haji Nurhasaanuddin bin Abdullah Kilali, Head of Medical Haj Management; Awang Haji Mahmud bin Haji Mohamed, Managing Director of Darussalam Holdings Sendirian Berhad; and Mohamad Shahwall bin Haji Mustaffa, Acting Consul General of the Brunei Darussalam Consulate in Jeddah, Arab Saudi.
