BANDAR SERI BEGAWAN

 

​Two local men and one local woman have been brought before the Bandar Seri Begawan Magistrate Court under the Excise Order 2006.

 

Said Bin Haji Ahmad, 53-years old, was fined One thousand 902 dollars or 7 weeks imprisonment in default for possessing 7 cartons of various brands of cigarette and 7 bottles of alcoholic drinks.

 

Meanwhile, Harun Bin Haji Mohammad, aged 46, was fined One thousand 440 dollars or 3 weeks imprisonment in default for bringing in 5 cartons of various brands of cigarette. Both offenders pleaded guilty and were given two months to pay the fine.

 

Meanwhile, 46-year-old, Rosmawati Binti Hj Mohamad Yusof, was fined Seven thousand 500 dollars or 4 months imprisonment in default for 2 cartons and 79 packs of cigarette of various brands. She was ordered to pay the fine within six months. All the contraband goods were confiscated to be destroyed.
