His Royal Highness Prince Haji Sufri Bolkiah ibni Al-Marhum Sultan Haji Omar 'Ali Saifuddien Sa'adul Khairi Waddien, President of the Brunei Darussalam National Olympic Council watched the Fencing event held yesterday at the Dewan 6, MITEC Kuala Lumpur.

 

In the individual female Foil category, the country was represented by Hajah Anis Sabrina binti Haji Yahya. In the first match, the national athlete lost 3-5 to Natasha Ezzra Abu Bakar from Malaysia. In the second match, the country's athlete also lost 2-5 to Merry Ananda from Indonesia. The national athlete also lost 3-5 to Nicolette Berthier from Singapore in the third match. However in the fourth match, Hajah Anis Sabrina beat Do Thi Anh from Vietnam with 5-4. Meanwhile in two other matches, the country athlete lost to Thongchampa Ploypailin from Thailand, 3-5 and Samantha Catatan from Philippines also 3-5 in the final match.
