Despite pain in the backside, the national wushu participant, Mohd. Adi Syarani bin Roslan continues to give the best performances at the 29th SEA Games at the Kuala Lumpur Convention Center, here.

Mohd. Adi Syarani who joined the Category Daoshu and Gunshu only finished seventh with a total score of 18.77 points, Daoshu of 9.27 points, while 9.50 points were awarded for Gunshu's performance.

Present at the match was Minister of Culture, Youth and Sports, Honorable Pehin Datu Lailaraja Major General (B) Dato Paduka Seri Haji Awang Halbi bin Haji Mohd. Yussof.

When interviewed by Pelita Brunei, Mohd. Adi Syarani was disappointed in failing to win the medal, but he admitted that he had made the best of his performances at the 28th SEA Games in Singapore despite having a bit of pain during the two performances.

Obviously, even though he had started the pain since a month ago, the training was as usual with the help of a professional medical officer.

While Wushu National Coach, Li Hui admitted he was satisfied with the performance of his protégé although he was ranked seventh from eleven participating participants.

"Adi started experiencing the problem during a training session in China a month ago, our medical team will continue to treat and hope he can join tomorrow's match for the Changquan Category," he added.
