A police officer’s dashcam captured a heart-melting moment between the officer and a dancing elderly woman.

Sgt Kim Lenz of the Austin Police Department in Minnesota was on patrol recently when she spotted 92-year-old Millie Seiver having a dance in the middle of a parking lot.

Knowing that no one should ever dance alone, Lenz turned up the radio in her squad car, before getting out and joining Seiver for a boogie.

The wordless moment shared by the two was uploaded to the Austin Police Facebook page, where is has been viewed more than 40,000 times already.

Seiver has loved dancing her entire life, and never resists the urge to cut some shapes, no matter where she is when it takes her.

Her granddaughter said she even spent her 90th birthday dancing.

Seiver didn’t quite know what to make of the video’s popularity, saying: ‘I don’t know, I was just so amazed, I was so shocked.’

However she said she was ‘proud’ that the video showed she’s still got some moves.

‘I’d like to see more people be more active, out walking and things like that,’ she said.
