Meraih Barkah Group is an active group that does Waqaf activities and recently, they travelled to Kg Bukit, a remote area in the Tutong District, to present several Waqaf items to its mosque.

Among the items donated was a storage building for the mosque to store items such as burial tools. The donated storage building is 20 by eight-feet (20x8 feet).

The event was led by the Head of Kumpulan Meraih Berkah, Dayang Hajah Florinda binti Haji Mejenis. The Waqaf presentation was held in hopes of enlivening the spirit for the upcoming holy month of Ramadhan.

The donation included two units of air-conditioners, five rolls of Sejadah (Muslim praying mats) and 10 Telekong (female Muslim praying dress).

The ceremony started with an appreciation speech by Awang Haji Mohd Azaley bin Haji Aliuddin, Imam of Kampong Bukit Mosque, followed by the presentation of the Waqaf items by representatives from Meraih Barkah Group to representatives of the mosque.

Among those present at the event were members of the Meraih Barkah Group, village heads, mukim penghulus, the Imam of the mosque and Awang Haji Jaya bin Haji Yahya, the Mosque Affairs Officer of Zone I Tutong District.

According to Hajah Florinda, the group will conduct more Waqaf Waqafities in the month of Ramadhan and present items including the Al-Quran, Takhtim and Rehal in all the districts.

Hajah Florinda explained that the group's first intention is to encourage people to read Al-Quran. In 2014, a total of 14,000 Al-Quran, Takhtim, Rehal, Sejadah and Telekong were donated as. Waqaf, throughout the four districts.

Other than the items stated above, the group also assisted in restoring infrastructures at Suraus (prayer halls) including those at schools such as Paduka Seri Begawan Sultan Science College (MSPSBS) and Sultan Saiful Rijal Technical College.

The group holds their Waqaf activity every year and this year itself, donated Telekong and Sejadah to RIPAS Hospital; two 5HP air-conditioners to RPN Bukit Beruang Mosque; an air-conditioner to Sinaut Mosque; an air-conditioner and Sejadah to Pengiran Anak Puteri Hajah Masna Religious School; an air-conditioner, Sejadah and provided repairs to the Masin Secondary School's Surau; and fans to MSPSBS.
