KG PARIT, MUKIM PENGKALAN BATU
Radio Televisyen Brunei (RTB) in collaboration with Mukim Pengakalan Batu Consultative Council (MPM) yesterday held a roadshow dubbed 'Bedudun Ke Penyiaran Digital (Digital Broadcasting)' at the community hall of Kampong Parit Mini Recreational Park.
The roadshow aimed to relay information to members of the public on the quality of digital broadcasting. It also served as a platform for the public to raise broadcast reception problems that is often encountered by them usually due to faulty installation of aerials and use of improper reception equipment.
Present at the roadshow yesterday were YB Awang Haji Jumat bin Akim, Legislative Council member; Awang Haji Muhammad Suffian bin Haji Bungsu, Director of RTB; Awang Misle bin Haji Abdul Karim, Acting Brunei-Muara District Officer and other senior government officials, penghulu and village heads.
The roadshow also provided opportunities for RTB to contact members of the public on services that has been offered by it, which includes promoting village products through a collaboration with the MPM Pengkalan Batu.
During the roadshow, Pengiran Haji Mahari bin Pengiran Haji Abdul Rajak, Deputy Director (Development) of RTB presented a briefing on digital broadcast, while Aminah binti Haji Metali delivered a talk on how to properly install aerials, which was followed by a question-and-answer session.
The one-day event was also filled with a gallery exhibition prepared by the Engineering Section, display of televisions and radio, various types of products and craft, the making of giant 'kelupis' and many more.
