Creative Space recently hosted its first event, the 'Emerge Market' at the Creative Space Art Gallery and Studio, in Sengkurong to facilitate networking and growth of the creative industries and in conjunction with the ongoing EMERGE Art Exhibition.

The Manager of Creative Space Art Gallery and Studio and organiser of the EMERGE exhibition Osveanne Osman, spoke of the positive public response on the exhibition and activities.

"In the span of one month, we had four schools visiting the exhibition including Meragang Sixth Form Centre and Maktab Duli as well as walk-in visitors, giving positive response to our first-ever EMERGE art exhibition," she said.

The Emerge Market is an event to promote local artists and entrepreneurs in the creative industry such as Truffle Moment Events, Tag Landmark; Field Click, Digital Symphony and Green Designs among others.

Also available at the event was the Tag-a-Field website, an online "matching skills" platform that allows matching talents and companies.

Founded by third year students from Universiti Teknologi Brunei (UTB), the platform aims to streamline the internship / job search process and make applications easier and much more efficient.

Creative Space will also be holding the first Art Jam event today from 1pm to 6pm, inviting the public to involve themselves in creating collaborative art pieces on set canvasses and the studio walls.
