The Darussalam Motorcycle Association (PEMODA) commenced its motorcycle expedition to Sabah to participate in the 17th Borneo Island International Big Bike Festival (BIIBBF) held from April 29-May 1.

The flag-off took place at Dermaga Diraja in the capital, and saw participation of 80 PEMODA members led by Pengiran Haji Redzuan bin Pengiran Haji Ahmad, President of PEMODA.

This is a yearly activity on PEMODA calendar since the festival began 17 years ago in turns all over Borneo.
This year, Sabah is the host for this prestigious and huge festival.

Around 1,000 owners and enthusiasts of high-powered motorcycles from all over Borneo and the neighbouring region are participating in the event.

The delegation hopes that the participation of PEMODA will help to promote the Sultanate as a tourist destination.

Besides that, the 700km expedition also gives opportunity to PEMODA to promote Shell Advance motorcycle oils, the latest product by Brunei Shell Marketing Co Sendirian Berhad (BSM), the expedition sponsor. The guest of honour at the flag-off was the Managing Director of BSM, Pengiran Shamhary bin Pengiran Dato Paduka Haji Mustapha.
