​An officer of the Royal Brunei Police Force will join the 14th Monitoring and Peacekeeping Mission team in Mindanao in the Philippines.

A doa selamat ceremony was held this afternoon for Assistant Superintendent of Police, Mohammad Mezudy Afril bin Mohammad Mazlan. The ceremony to seek the blessings and protection of Allah the Almighty for the officer during his tour of duty took place at the Police Headquarters Surau in Gadong. In attendance was Dato Paduka Seri Haji Mohd Jammy (pron Jimmy) bin Haji Muhammad Shah Al-Islam, the Coomissioner of Police.
