Laos To Send 84 Athletes To Compete At ASEAN Para Games 2017

 Eighty four athletes with disabilities and 16 athletic officials will attend the coming 9th ASEAN Para Games to be held in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia between Sep 17-23.

 

The ASEAN Para Games is the Southeast Asian multi-sport event for athletes with disabilities, which is held every two years in rotation among ASEAN countries, theDirector General of the Department of Sports for All, Ministry of Education and Sports, Mr Sithat Chanthaboury told a press conference in Vientiane Capital on Sep 6. 

 

Two hundred and ninety four gold medals will be up for grabs in 883 events of 16 sports. The Lao athletes will compete in 6 sports namely track and field, swimming, lifting, wheelchair basketball, football, and goalball.
