​His Majesty Sultan Haji Hassanal Bolkiah Mu'izzaddin Waddaulah ibni Al-Marhum Sultan Haji Omar 'Ali Saifuddien Sa'adul Khairi Waddien, Sultan and Yang Di-Pertuan of Brunei Darussalam, has consented to send a message of congratulations to Her Excellency Halimah Yacob, on the occasion of Her Excellency's new appointment as the President of the Republic of Singapore.

In the message to Her Excellency, his Majesty conveyed that Brunei Darussalam and the Republic of Singapore shared a special and unique relationship and looked forward to working closely with Her Excellency to continue the warm and close bilateral ties that Brunei Darussalam and the Republic of Singapore have long enjoyed.
