It’s unclear whether Ivanka Trump just threw the biggest kind of insult at her days-old nephew, or if she got her words so badly mixed up.

Donald Trump’s daughter posted a picture of her holding baby Luke with the caption: ‘Cuddling my little nephew Luke… the best part of an otherwise incredible day!’

Spot something kinda off with that sentence? Read it again.

‘Otherwise.’ OTHERWISE!?

Obviously, Ivanka can’t share a special moment on social media without the world prodding holes in it, so the trolling began.

So many people took issue the word, which English language nerds say is used very incorrectly.

Define 'otherwise'

Adverb: 1. under other circumstances: ‘Otherwise they may get broken.’ 2. in another manner; differently: ‘Under the circumstances, I can’t believe otherwise.’ 3. in other respects: ‘An otherwise happy life.’

Conjunction: 4. or else; if not: ‘Button up your overcoat, otherwise you’ll catch a cold.’

Adjective: 5. other or different; of another nature or kind: ‘We hoped his behavior would be otherwise.’ 6. in other or different circumstances: ‘An otherwise pleasure had become a grinding chore.’
