97 Year 6 pupils from 11 religious schools in the Temburong district took part in a Khatam Al-Quran ceremony. The ceremony, conducted by the Temburong Religious Schools Leader Committee, JAPSUT, was held this afternoon at the Dewan Belalong, Bangar Civic Centre Complex.

The ceremony commenced with the reading of Surah Al-Fatihah led by Yang Berhormat Awang Haji Emran bin Haji Sabtu, member of the Legislative Council who is also the Penghulu of Mukim Bokok. It is hoped that such a programme can further polish the pupil's Al-Quran reading skills apart from encouraging the pupils to practice the reading of the Quran as part of their daily life.
