​The full rehearsal for the Golden Jubilee Procession of His Majesty the Sultan and Yang Di-Pertuan of Brunei Darussalam's Accession to the Throne will be held this Sunday, 24th of September, at 10 in the morning. In this regard, several roads will be closed and supervised until the rehearsal is over.

 

Roads that will be closed for detours and supervised this Sunday starting from 6 in the morning are:

1. U-turn area at Damuan Recreational Park in Jalan Raja Isteri Pengiran Anak Saleha.

2. Simpang Jalan Permaisuara in Jalan Pengiran Babu Raja.

3. Simpang at residences along Jalan Raja Isteri Pengiran Anak Saleha.

4. Jalan Chempaka.

5. Traffic light at Jalan Kubah Makam Diraja will be diverted to Jalan Pehin Laksamana Abdul Razak.

6. Jalan Sultan Hassanal Bolkiah Highway will be diverted to Jalan Putera Al-Muhtadee Billah.

7. Traffic light at Jalan Raja Isteri Pengiran Anak Saleha junction from Sultan Hassanal Bolkiah Highway (nearby court).

8. Traffic light at Jalan Haji Basir simpang Jalan Kumbang Pasang.

9. Jalan Dato Taib simpang Jalan Padang.

10. Traffic light at Jalan Tasek simpang Jalan Stoney.

11. Simpang of parking area in Jalan Bendahara.

12. Jalan Elizabeth II simpang TAIB building parking area.

13. Jalan Pemancha simpang Jalan Lorong Bebatik.

14. Jalan Cator simpang Jalan lorong Jintan Manis.

15. Traffic light at Jalan Kianggeh simpang Jalan Mc Arthur.

16. Traffic light at Jalan Mc Arthur simpang Jalan Pretty.

17. Traffic light at Jalan Masjid Omar 'Ali Saifuddien simpang Jalan Elizabeth II.

18. Jalan Stoney simpang Jalan Sumbiling.

 

The road closure is aimed at emptying the roads in the aforementioned areas to ensure the smooth-running of the Procession Rehearsal.

 

Meanwhile, roads that will be supervised by Traffic Police are:

1. Along Jalan Raja Isteri Pengiran Anak Saleha

2. Along Jalan Sultan Omar Ali Saifuddien

3. Along Jalan Mc Arthur.

4. Along Jalan Masjid Omar Ali Saifuddien.

5. Along Jalan Stoney.

 

Several areas have also been identified to be vacated and restricted for parking to ensure the smooth-running of the rehearsal for the Gold Jubilee Procession. The directive to vacate these areas and for parking restrictions will start on Saturday, 23rd of September at 12 noon. The roads are:

 

1. Along Jalan Masjid Omar Ali Saifuddien

2. Along Jalan Mc Arthur

3. Along Jalan Kianggeh

4. Along Jalan Elizabeth II

5. Along Jalan Pretty.

 

The Royal Brunei Police Force specifically the Investigation and Traffic Control Department urges the public and road users to provide their cooperation to ensure the well-being of all parties involved.
