The practice of seeking blessings is a common practice that begins with greetings and supplication for sustenance, children-related matters, knowledge as well as health. The extent of blessings also includes the actions of a Muslim, property, time, as well as tests or trials that are placed upon an individual. This was among the content of a 'tazkirah subuh' or dawn talk titled "Jalan Menuju Keberkatan" yesterday during the "Masjidku Makmur, Negara Berkat" programme.

 

The talk, delivered by Awang Haji Suhaimi bin Haji Gemok, Acting Assistant Director of the Islamic Legal Unit, Ministry of Religious Affairs, among other things highlighted on the importance of seeking blessings for each Muslims so we would not stray from the concept of 'ubudiah' as servants of Allah Subhanahu Wata'ala who are ordered to do religious deeds for happiness in this world and in the Hereafter. Present were Yang Berhormat Pehin Datu Lailaraja Retired Major General Dato Paduka Seri Haji Awang Halbi bin Haji Mohd Yussof, Minister of Culture, Youth and Sports, and Dato Seri Paduka Awang Haji Abdul Mokti bin Haji Mohd Daud, Deputy Minister of Religious Affairs.
