Brunei-Muara Police District Held Joint Operation

Some 100 police personnel from police stations under the Brunei-Muara Police District took part in a joint operation to identify road users who have violated the laws.
The police stations that were involved in the joint operation were the Central Police Station, Berakas Police Station, Muara Police Station, Limau Manis Police Station, Sengkurong Police Station and the Kampong Ayer Police Station.
The operation aimed to increase the presence of police personnel in preventing criminal activities. One of the strategies in crime prevention is to carry out stop and search on suspicious vehicles during the operation. A total of 59 vehicles were stopped and searched.
The violations found were two cases of non-functioning vehicle registration plate lights, three cases of drivers who were driving without a licence and without a road tax. There were no docket cases found during the operation.
