Today's Friday Sermon touched on the Golden Jubilee celebration of His Majesty the Sultan and Yang Di Pertuan of Brunei Darussalam's Accession to the Throne. The sermon explained that throughout the 50 years of His Majesty's reign, the country has shown the leadership's capability and excellence in the country's development based on Islamic teachings. 

This has made the monarch admired and respected in the eyes of the world. The Friday Sermon also mentioned that since His Majesty rules the country, all the country's citizens and residents are able to enjoy various facilities, infrastructure, services, continuous progress and development such as roads, clean water supply, electricity, medical, education, defence and others. This reflects His Majesty's attitude as a caring monarch towards the welfare and well-being of the country's citizens and residents in Brunei Darussalam.
 
The imam or prayer leader said we are blessed to live in the country that practise the way of life based on Islamic teachings under the leadership of a wise Monarch. His Majesty, a loving and caring Monarch pays due attention on the welfare and harmonious livelihood of the citizens and residents in the country as well as Islamic teachings in forming the administration policy, the country's management and laws in line with the syarak.
