His Majesty Sultan Haji Hassanal Bolkiah Mu'izzaddin Waddaulah ibni Al-Marhum Sultan Haji Omar 'Ali Saifuddien Sa'adul Khairi Waddien, Sultan and Yang Di-Pertuan of Brunei Darussalam, this afternoon received in separate audiences the Prime Minister of the Republic of Singapore and The Earl of Wessex.

The Audience ceremonies were held at the Istana Nurul Iman. His Majesty the Sultan and Yang Di-Pertuan of Brunei Darussalam first received His Excellency Lee Hsien Loong, the Prime Minister of the Republic of Singapore. His Excellency Lee Hsien Loong is visiting Brunei Darussalam to attend the Golden Jubilee Celebration of His Majesty the Sultan and Yang Di-Pertuan of Brunei Darussalam's Accession to Throne.

His Majesty then received His Royal Highness Prince Edward, Earl of Wessex. His Royal Highness conveyed the personal congratulations of Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth the Second, Queen of the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland, on the occasion of His Majesty's Golden Jubilee's Accession to Throne. Accompanying His Royal Highness was His Excellency Richard Lindsay, High Commissioner of the United Kingdom to Brunei Darussalam. His Royal Highness is also here to attend the Golden Jubilee Celebration of His Majesty the Sultan and Yang Di-Pertuan of Brunei Darussalam's Accession to Throne on behalf of Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II, Queen of the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland. Also present at the ceremony was Yang Berhormat Pehin Orang Kaya Pekerma Dewa Dato Seri Setia Lim Jock Seng, Minister at the Prime Minister's Office and Second Minister of Foreign Affairs and Trade.
