Police: Explosion at MRT construction site caused by WWII bomb

KUALA LUMPUR
The explosion that injured three construction workers at an MRT construction site in Bandar Malaysia is believed to have been caused by an old bomb from the Second World War.
City police chief Comm Datuk Amar Singh confirmed the cause of the accident but did not elaborate on the type of bomb.
"It exploded suddenly while construction work was being done," he said.
Police are continuing their investigations into the accident.
The accident, which happened at around 5pm on Tuesday, caused two construction workers to lose their legs while another suffered injuries to his hands and legs.
The victims were sent to Hospital Kuala Lumpur for treatment and are reported to be in stable condition.
