Royal Brunei Police Force, RBPF has detained a male Permanent Resident for impersonating an Inspector of the RBPF. After receiving a report from the public at around 10:40 this morning at the Sungai Liang Police Station, the police took immediate action that led to the arrest of the man at the Gadong Commercial area at around 2 in the afternoon.
Following the incident, the Royal Brunei Police Force reminds the public that impersonating as a police officer or personnel by wearing their uniform is an offence and punishable under Brunei Darussalam's law, Section 140, Chapter 22 of the Penal Code, which brings three months imprisonment or 4 Thousand dollars fine if found guilty.
